Just came home after 2 nights @the Battle House. Stayed on the 3rd floor on the historic side and had someone get in the bed with me overnight Monday. When I got up the nerve to turn over, there was no one there. Thought I had dreamed it or was losing my mind until I found out the next day that the hotel was haunted. Do you have any other encounters that you can share with me?

    Thanks!

I’ll do a quick post on the homepage for this, Brenna. Thank you for visiting Mobile — there is so much to do, and lots of places to go with a haunted history. E.

In spirit of Halloween, a group of about 18 friends and I wanted to rent a bus to take us to the haunted areas in and around Mobile. We were hoping to find places that were either abandoned or were open to the public at night. Unfortunately, that has not been as easy as I thought. Any suggestions?

    • Elizabeth says:

You’re right, it’s going to be difficult to find someplace that will allow the public in, after dark. So my suggestion, if you guys are open to camping, is to head out to Blakeley State Park the weekend before Hallowe’en. Spend the night out there and you’ll have plenty to talk about; it’s extremely active and extremely haunted! E.

  5. Loraine says:

I have friends who are having issues with their home in Mobile AL. Family members waking up with marks on them, on of the children keep hearing her name being called and has been sleep walking more. They have also noticed doors opening during the day and night after the doors have been locked. The mom is getting tired of it and has not been able to sleep well and is tired all the time because of it. The house has a bit of history that I won’t get into at this point. This is just getting to the whole family now. Not sure what to tell them. They can’t just up and move so what ever is there will have to go. Any advice as to who could help this family?

    • Elizabeth says:

Hi, Loraine — I can arrange some help for the family, if they will email me directly at: elizabeth@mobileghosts.com If they’d rather, I will be at Books-A-Million in Spanish Fort on Saturday, November 16th, from 1 to 3 for a book signing — they can come meet me and talk to me there if they’d like to talk about it in person. Thanks, Elizabeth

I’m going to visit some friends in Mobile for vacation in a couple of weeks. Are there any ghost tours located in the area of Mobile that I could attend? Thanks & Blessings As Always,
    Terry
